When I first received a request to join the Insta handle @shecanbemoreblog, I was thinking what would I be able to contribute, being a homemaker and a vlogger and as someone searching for a Job 🙂 but here I am today writing as to what I really feel what work means to me!
When I was in a phase of transitioning from an IT professional to a complete Home maker, a constant thought that was bugging me was “What would I really say when someone asks me what am I upto? Where are you working?“
But when I really gave it a thought and brainstormed – I found the answer. I was not leaving this corporate world to satisfy any person X, it’s ME that matters. That provided some great relief and today I can really say I found the true meaning as to what really work means to me.
In this busy life, we really forget as to what we are really doing and just try to find means to be happy. I always find happiness in my work when true results are seen and appreciated.
Though WORK is all about an activity that serves a purpose, as a human, WORK should provide me Satisfaction, make me Proud, Motivate to do more & last but not the least should help Inspire Others.
Before being a Homemaker, I have seen all of these values fulfilled through my IT Job. Today, as a Homemaker I am mostly engaged with the family caretaking & my hobby as a Vlogger.
I feel Proud when my kids reach new milestones , when my cooking videos get shared and liked and reaches wider circles.
I feel Motivated to Work more when I get appreciated with the work I do and loved by my family and by audience messages …
Inspiring others is an art; Inspiring happens only when I can show how it is done & somebody would like to learn from my way of doing things. As a Mother this journey is a long way to go, for me to stand as an example-mom and for someone to follow me it is going to be a decade or two. However, with my cooking vlog, I see a lot of fan following and people eagerly waiting for the next video to be posted. Every video that I have posted contributes to an increase in followers. Every time I see the increase in followers, I see that I am able to Inspire others to do what I do! Every time I am able to Inspire others, it makes me feel Proud, which in turn motivates me to WORK more.
So, tell me, are you Inspiring someone today through the WORK you do? The day we realize that our WORK is Inspiring someone, we know that we have found our Passion.
